"If  you have worked with crown molding before, you already know that it is the most difficult molding to cut. The most common way is to cut it upside down and backwards. The problem lies with 
1) holding it at the right angle and 2) keeping the molding from sliding. If you a weekend warrior, like myself, chances are that you do not have a fancy $600 compound miter saw with all the bells and whistles. The fence on my miter saw is too low, so the molding is not well supported, especially when dealing with larger moldings. This is where the MiterMaster comes in handy. The back of it acts as your high fence while its L-shaped form firmly holds the molding in place giving you a perfect cut every time. The MiterMaster  takes all the difficulty out of cutting crown molding, in fact, it makes it fool proof. Try it...It's simple!"

When it comes to installing crown molding, there is no cutting corners. Let's face it, unless you're working on the oval room, you have to deal with them. Use the MiterMaster and follow these simple instructions for perfect inside/outside corners every time.

Look at the picture to the left to ensure that you are cutting the correct side.

Left Side, Inside Corner

1.  Position miter saw 45° to the right.
2.  Place MiterMaster to the right of  the blade with the cutting edge on the left.
3.  Make your perfect cut.

Right Side, Inside Corner

1.  Position miter saw 45° to the left.
2.  Place MiterMaster to the left of  the blade with the cutting edge on the right.
3.  Make your perfect cut.

Left Side, Outside Corner

 
1.  Position miter saw 45° to the left.
2.  Place MiterMaster to the right of the blade with the cutting edge on the left.
3.  Make your perfect cut.

Right Side, Outside Corner

1.  Position miter saw 45° to the right.
2.  Place MiterMaster to the left of  the blade with the cutting edge on the right.
3.  Make your perfect cut.
